Our band of 30 plus teachers are highly skilled individuals.  We teach all over the world at studios, festivals, conferences and retreat centers.  We can come for a day, a weekend or even a full week.  Places we have taught (and you can still find us there now) are The Estes Park Yoga Journal Conference, Telluride Yoga Festival, Hanuman Festival, Wanderlust (all three!), Kripalu, Omega and many others.

We regularly offer Yoga and Rockclimbing Retreats,  Surfing and Yoga Retreats, and Adventure Sport Trainings. All of these retreats include Slackline Yoga and AcroYoga as well as some thai massage!

Jason Magness, Sam Salwei, Dan Norgard, Chelsey Magness, Paul Cassedy, and Adi Carter  are all competent and expierienced climbers and surfers, so you are sure to have a great, fun and SAFE time with them!  We offer over 10 retreats a year that happen all over the US and in Puerto Rico!

Below you will find a list of what we have to offer:

Redefining Balance (all levels) - Take your practice (whether it’s climbing, running, yoga or other) to an entirely new level. We will be reshaping your definition of balance by teaching basics of yoga on a slackline & on another person. Come see what it is like to play with your own & someone else's energy in a refreshing, new way. We will begin with a vinysasa warm up, move into Acroyoga and the basics of the slackasana series including standing, walking on the line, kneeling and sitting, arm balancing & even going upside down. This approach is a great way to improve your overall strength & balance for your asana practice on & off the mat!

Introduction to AcroYoga (all levels) - Blending the elements of Vinyasa Yoga, Acrobatics, and Thai massage, AcroYoga is a powerful tool for transformation. Learning to trust, and to be confident, exploring the need for strenght and surrender, AcroYoga is a physical and emotional balancing act. The basic tools can be used by yogis, bodyworkers, and athletes (amazing for climbers) to greatly enhance thier sport or practice. No partner necessary, some basic yoga (or other body awareness practice, ie climbing) is helpful.

AcroYoga - a beautiful blend of circle ceremony, asana, partner stretching, inversions, therapeutic flying, and partner acrobatics.  For more information visit the photo gallery or www.acroyoga.org Great combined with slacklining for a weekend intensive.

Partner Yoga – Partner work is one of the most in beautiful ways to experience the “union” of yoga, and learn to extend beyond oneself. Working with another also urges the release of the ego, which is often too prevalent in regular asana work. It is an great way to reconnect with a loved one, or to allow yourself to connect with a stranger. Students will practice a blend of traditional partner yoga (both people doing the same pose) and contact yoga (doing different poses in a dynamic balance). Open your heart and extend it!

Acrobatics Immersion: Bringing the wisdom of Yoga to Acrobatics (Int level)

AcroYoga aims to bring yogic awareness to the power and grace of acrobatics. Confidence, concentration, trust and agility are all elements that support the embodiment of an acrobat and can help any person feel more empowered in their daily lives. By expanding the range of the physical body, we learn to trust ourselves and others, realizing our collective potential. As we remove self-imposed limits, we are walking on the path towards liberation. All of these very yogic ideals shine through the practice of acrobatics. The elements shared in this offering consist of: strength building techniques and the Tattsvadarzin asana sequence, partner balance, acrobatic flying, inversions and spotting techniques. With these new tools students have a fresh perspective to enhance their practice and their approach to others. No partner necessary, intermediate yoga practice recommended.

Pre-Requisites: headstands with no spot (or close to it!) and handstands against the wall.

Earth (Gravity) as a Guru: The ancient yogis gleaned much of their practices from looking toward nature around them and emulating it. The playfulness and creativeness of this is often lost in the modern schools of yoga. Return to this place for an intense practice based on changing your relationship with gravity. Includes inversions, balancing, arm balancing, dynamic back bending, unique vinyasa, and lots of fun. Participants requested to be capable of uhrdva dhanurasana, headstand, shoulderstand, handstand at the wall. Participants must be able to smile! (Intermediate/advanced)

Jedi Training - Hasn't everyone wanted to be a jedi at one point or another? This class combines the elements of breath control, tightness drills, rolling vinyasa, acrobatic training techniques, traditional vinyasa yoga, Kundalini Kriyas, Chinese meridian stretcing, and an eclectic soundtrack. This class easily adapts to all levels and is incredibly challenging to all - beginners and advanced alike. Come play with the play with the power of your mind and the potential to re-define your physical limits.

Open to anyone with the discipline and desire to dabble with their own personal "force." (best done on an empty stomach)

Mysore style Ashtanga – self practice with a teacher guiding your way

Ashtanga Introduction – A class for those who don’t regulary practice the Ashtanga system but are interested in learning more. Sun Salutation A and B are covered in detail, as is Ujayii breathing, and some of the standing and seated postures. Vinyasa (and the theory behind it) is covered as well.

Ashtanga Primary Series – A fully led traditional first (primary) series class, as taught by Sri Pattabhi Jois. Modifications will be given to students as necessary. This class is very physical.

Ashtanga Second Series – A fully led second series class, as taught by Sri. Pattabhi Jois.

Unlike a traditional class, modifications will be given to allow students to access some of the more difficult back-bending and hip-opening postures. It is suggested that students be free of back or knee injury and have a consistent practice.

Ashtanga explorations – Come play with this physical yoga system and explore the challenging portions of the first and second series, as well as some fantastic asanas from the third series. Insight will be given into the structure of the series, as well as the history and development of the three modern schools of western yoga (Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Viniyoga). Learn how to practice this incredibly physical form with intention and clarity and avoid injury.

Advanced Ashtanga Vinyasas – The Ashtanga system has a several difficult vinyasas in it. Most of us skip them, or do a modified version. Why? Learn how to safely and effectively practice jump throughs, jump backs, drop backs, roll-ups, and backward rolls (chakrasana). We’ll even learn a few that Guruji doesn’t teach!

The D-series – Drawing heavily from the first, second and third series of ashtanga yoga, the discipline series is designed to be an intense (but approachable) vinyasa sequence without all the "jump-throughs" of traditional ashtanga. This is Jason's personal daily practice that he developed after a serious shoulder injury, and that he uses in training for expeditions and ultra-endurance races. Rediscover the beauty of a well crafted vinyasa sequence. Perfect for athletes wanting to incorporate yoga into their own regime, or yogis wanting to build a little endurance with their practice.

The E-series – The “E” stands for Endurance. This is our extended vinyasa practice. It is practiced with humility and humor…and after 2 ½ hours, the savasana is perfect.

Arm Balances – With a playful mind and awareness of the belly, arm balances can take on a lightness that most practitioners never find. It is amazing how a shift in the way one thinks can affect the ability to practice and asana. This class is a perfect way to experience that!

Hand Stand – Hand stand is just one of those poses…. The benefits to the body and mind are incredible, but for most of us it seems impossible. Not so. This workshop is designed to take you further than you’ve ever gone before. Each student will work to extend their handstand from their own level.

Backbends – Backbends that originate from the heart (thoracic spine) and not the low back (lumbar spine) are infinitely more rewarding. If your backbends are causing you pain, it is time to redefine what a backbend is! Learn to switch your “backbend” into a “heart-opener” and see what happens. Start by applying these principles to simple backbends and move deeper and deeper.

Developing a Personal Practice –This is it - the most important thing that any yoga student can do. If this was the only workshop that you ever took, it would be worth it. Through anecdotes, personal insight, and sample practices, you'll be on your way. Sometimes knowing why something is important is all it takes.

Adjustments – Reach out and touch someone. Adjustments are one of the most powerful tools that you have a teacher to truly transform a students practice and understanding of an asana. They are also dangerous if performed incorrectly or with the wrong intention. Learn and practice adjustments for standing poses, inversions, backbends, twists, etc. The class is tailored to the experience level of the students.

Introduction to Thai Yoga and Meridian Stretching– This class will explore and experience the joy of Thai massage, and the intensity and release of Meridian stretching. Both of these bodywork forms can me easily incorporated into yoga practices, and offer great benefits.
